Education Counsellor – Canada

NWC Education is seeking an Education Counsellor to guide students through Canada's university and college landscape, IRCC Study Permit applications, and the Student Direct Stream (SDS) process. Canada is one of the most popular study destinations in the world — known for multicultural campuses, world-ranked universities, generous post-study work rights, and clear pathways to permanent residency. Location is open — remote or on-site from anywhere.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; background in immigration or international relations preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in Canadian education counselling or immigration support
• Strong knowledge of IRCC processes, SDS stream eligibility, and study permit requirements
• Understanding of DLI institutions and PGWP eligibility rules
• Knowledge of GIC process and financial proof requirements
• Excellent command of English; French is an advantage for Quebec-bound cases
• Highly organised with strong student follow-up and documentation habits
• Knowledge of RCIC regulations is a valuable asset

Responsibilities

• Counsel students on Canadian universities and colleges across all provinces
• Advise on Designated Learning Institution (DLI) selection and programme matching
• Guide students through the IRCC Study Permit application process
• Explain Student Direct Stream (SDS) eligibility and benefits
• Assist with Letter of Acceptance (LOA), proof of funds, and GIC arrangement
• Advise on Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility and PR pathways
• Stay current with IRCC policy updates and CAP announcements
• Coordinate with Canadian institutions for application and offer follow-up
• Conduct pre-departure briefings on life in Canada, health coverage, and SIN registration
• Maintain thorough and compliant student case files
