Overview / About the Scholarship
The Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship is the flagship international award at Bangor University, a world-class institution nestled between the mountains of Snowdonia and the Menai Strait. This scholarship is not just a financial grant; it is a recognition of global academic talent. It is specifically targeted at Overseas fee payers who have achieved the highest possible academic standing equivalent to a UK 1st Class Honours degree. Beyond grades, Bangor University seeks scholars who embody its core values: Ambition, Inclusivity, Integrity, Sustainability, and Transformation.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate how their studies will contribute to sustainable development in their home countries and support future generations. As a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholar, you become a high-profile ambassador for the university. The selection process is highly competitive, with a limited number of awards available per academic school each year. This makes the award a prestigious addition to any professional portfolio, marking the recipient as one of the most promising students in their field globally.
